TuBro Company 40th Anniversary
TuBro Company, Inc. is celebrating 40 years in business with a look back at TuBro through the decades. In the beginning of 2011, there was a change in corporate ownership. After 35 years, H. William Gift, III retired from the TuBro Company, Inc. and Kevin Gift, Sr. became the sole owner. All other management positions and department heads have remained the same.
In the past four years, the TuBro Company has acquired the machinery and expertise to fabricate acrylic spheres. The spheres are made using cast acrylic sheets for optimum clarity. The sheets are cut to the proper size, heated in an industrial oven until ready for the free blowing process. The free blowing technique allows for air pressure to shape the hemisphere. This allows for maximum clarity of each hemisphere. The hemispheres are then trimmed of any excess material. Once the trimming process is complete, the hemispheres are cleaned and ready to ship. They can also be cemented together to create a sphere.
There are many uses for both hemispheres and spheres. Hemispheres can be used as a protective cover for objects that require visual clarity such as security cameras or equipment that needs protection from a harsh environment. Spheres can be used as a decorative piece or educational item. Spheres can be fabricated in a variety of colors and sizes. They can be silk screened with logos, names and decorative designs for a totally personalized item.
